About Me
I am a fully qualified Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, based in Lewes, East Sussex. The focus of my work is to investigate the root causes of imbalances in the body that can lead to low moods, anxiety, depression, post-natal depression, and hormonal mood swings. I also support women suffering from postnatal depletion.
Fuelling this was my experience of challenges in my mental and physical well-being from adolescence, especially postpartum, including pre-menstrual syndrome to post-natal depletion and depression. I could not find a complete resolution to my health issues and I didn’t fully understand the causes. This drove me to research other modalities and their approach to these mental and physical health challenges.
Following the birth of my third child, a period of ill health led to the realisation that the missing link for me was Nutrition. I discovered a world of information on how nutritious food can be a therapy. I was especially interested in the Food/Mood link and the positive neuromodulatory aspects of nutrients and nutraceuticals. This led me to study Naturopathic Nutrition for 3 years at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, so I could best help myself and others.
I truly believe that optimal nutrition is fundamental for balanced mental and physical well-being and should be one of the first aspects to be addressed when supporting anyone struggling with their health, mentally or physically.
We all need a support network and a helping hand at certain times in our lives. With an understanding of how complicated and stressful our relationship with food can be and an awareness of the psychology of eating, I want to help you find the best way to help yourself, in a warm and nurturing way, focusing on the most supportive natural nutraceuticals and nourishing food.
I am fully insured and I dedicate time each month to ensure I keep up to date with new ideas and research in Naturopathy and Nutrition. Continuous professional development ensures I am able to develop my skills and experience, by reading books and articles and attending seminars and training courses.
